JOE KUENNE – VICE PRESIDENT – Federal Retirement Consultant℠

Joe got his start as a retirement consultant and insurance agent in 2018. He is motivated by his passion for helping clients protect what matters most to them. Joe also takes a consultative approach to his clients and conducts a thorough analysis of their needs, so that he can understand his client and make proper recommendations. He holds his Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠) designation and has used this certification to assist many Federal Employees understand their retirement benefits and options. Prior to entering this industry, he was a successful business owner of a durable medical equipment company. Joe resides in Dardenne Prairie, MO with his wife Crystal and his son Jake and daughter Ella.

CRYSTAL KUENNE – ADMINISTRATOR – Federal Retirement Consultant℠

Crystal is Joe’s wife and the administrative employee assisting Tim, Joe and our team of Federal Retirement Consultants. She has been working alongside Joe for many years in each of his business ventures, always handling the administrative duties allowing him to focus on what he does best. Crystal now provides that same service to each of our Federal Retirement Consultants to allow them to fully focus on their clients. Crystal is typically the first point of contact for each federal employee, whether it is reaching out to schedule a call or confirming an appointment request, she is the one making sure that they are all set up to learn about their federal retirement benefits. Crystal resides in Dardenne Prairie, MO with Joe and their son Jake and their daughter Ella.

DAN BRUNGARD – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Dan has been working in the federal space for a relatively short time but has been a Financial Advisor for over 15 years. When he works with retirees and future retirees, he explores all areas of their financial situation – even those he does not work with directly – to help them understand the big picture in their retirement. Dan takes pride in his two main mantras of Open, Honest, and Direct Communication, and doing the right thing for the client, whether it is good for him or not.
In addition to working with individuals, Dan also provides educational seminars for groups of people at no cost. Financial literacy is extremely important to him. It is never too early to start talking about retirement!
Dan resides in O’Fallon, Missouri with his wife, Helen. They have two adult sons, Mitchell and Matthew. He is an avid cyclist and a USA Cycling Official.

COLBY THOMAS – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Colby has always had the desire to help others and began his journey in the service industry by becoming a Police Officer and later being promoted to Homicide Detective. After serving nearly 10 years, he decided he wanted to spend more time with his wife and two sons, but his need to help others was still there. He was fortunate enough to become a Federal Retirement Consultant℠, so he can still fill that desire by helping federal and state employees with all their retirement needs. Just like with law enforcement, his job here is to serve and protect. Colby resides in Wentzville, MO with his wife Jess and two sons.

RICH SPRINGER – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Rich began his postal career in 1987 as a PTF clerk/carrier. In 2005 he was assigned his first Postmaster position and remained a Postmaster for the following 18 years, retiring from the United States Postal Service in August 2023, with over 35 creditable years of service. He has always enjoyed assisting his fellow postal employees with everything from IT issues to fine tuning their eCareers for postal advancement. Rich recently acquired his Federal Retirement Consultant designation and is excited to help postal employees prepare for a smooth, worry-free transition into retirement. Rich resides in Clinton IA with his wife Kathy. He has one stepdaughter and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, pickle ball and spending time at their lake house in northern Wisconsin.

JASON YOUNGBLOOD – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Jason is passionate about helping people secure their financial future. As a Federal Retirement Consultant, he takes time to understand each client’s individual needs and develops a retirement plan that aligns with their goals. When he’s not helping people protect their financial future, Jason is spending time reading personal development books or watching a good basketball game. Jason resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Dorah and daughter Nande.

ANDY KAZEN – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Andy has been a retirement consultant for over 12 years, primarily with Prudential Financial Services before recently joining Gateway to assist
federal employees. He is motivated by his passion for helping clients protect and grow their assets.
Andy holds his Federal Retirement Consultant (FRC) designation and is eager to use his certification to help federal employees understand their retirement benefits and options. Andy’s straight forward approach helps put people at ease knowing that he’s recommending custom solutions that fit their needs. JEFF ARMENT – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Jeff is a military veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987-1993 before relocating back to the Midwest and starting his career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1994. He recently retired as Postmaster in the town of Conrad IA after a combined 36 years of Federal Service. Jeff enjoyed providing service to his community in the Postal Service as well as serving as a U.S. Marine. Since retiring, Jeff has decided to continue serving by becoming a Federal Retirement Consultant in order to assist Postal employees with their upcoming retirement needs. He is excited to provide them with the knowledge and tools to choose the best retirement options. Jeff and his wife Jeanice live in Marshalltown IA and have been happily married for 18 years. They love to travel, play golf and spend time with their 6 children and 5 grandchildren.

JOE MAST – Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠)

Joe got his start as a retirement consultant in 2023. Although new to the industry, Joe’s enthusiasm is complemented by a comprehensive understanding of the federal benefits like the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) and the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). He holds his Federal Retirement Consultant℠ (FRC℠) designation and utilizes it to better understand each client’s unique circumstances in order to optimize their retirement strategy.

Prior to entering this industry, he was an Int’l Program Manager for the U.S. Soybean Export Council with territories in the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, South Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa. Before traveling the world, Joe was an aircraft maintenance technician with the U.S. Air Force. He served with distinct honors before being medically retired in 2011. Joe currently resides in O’Fallon, MO with his wife and son.
